April 17, 2008 - Club Meeting

Program: Marc Weiss will entertain us with a video presentation of diving in the Solomon Islands. He visited the group of islands that are northeast of Australia and west of Fiji aboard the MV Bilikiki. The area is known for the varied sea life at the walls, reefs, pinnacles & coral gardens. Marc will show us the critters he met while exploring the out-islands. Come join us for this beautiful presentation.
 

Spring Pool Party

Sunday, April 20th on your calendar for the Gavia Pool Party, again at Miami U's aquatic center in Oxford Ohio. For those who've not been there, this isn't your ordinary backyard swimming pool. We again have access to the synchronized swim team's underwater sound system so we'll have tunes to dive by. Also, if you've not come in past years this pool is 18' deep and SPECTACULAR!  We will have access to the facility from 6-10 pm and the pool from 7-9, Food and refreshments will be available in the wet classroom as in previous years.  Wish it was in my backyard!

Please RSVP to Mike Biggs at 513-218-8195 by next Monday, the 14th for food planning purposes. Cost will be the same $5 for Gavia members and kids under 12, and $10 for non-members.

DON'T FORGET YOUR C CARDS! Miami U will be checking them.

Also, this is a BYOG event, so plan to bring everything you will need INCLUDING TANK.
